The Black Forest: endless trails, timeless flavors, and adventures waiting at every turn.
Nature. Pleasure. Movement.
Between fir trees and valleys
The Black Forest is world-famous. Mark Twain hiked its trails, Hemingway fished its streams, and even Lenny Kravitz went mountain biking here. Millions have followed in their footsteps. Yet Germany’s most beautiful low mountain range never feels crowded – it’s perfect for exploring, unwinding, and enjoying life, whether in the sauna or by the fire. Few places blend nature, tradition, and joie de vivre as effortlessly as the Black Forest.

Surrounded by deep forests, clear lakes, rushing streams, and rustic Black Forest houses, this is nature straight from a storybook. The national park, towering fir trees, waterfalls, and via ferratas are as tempting as the hearty snacks along the way. Hikers and cyclists pause for bacon, fresh bread, and homemade cake. Split by the Kinzig River, the Black Forest seamlessly links its northern and southern charm.
